Social Media Campaign
The idea behind this one was to learn about equilibrium through creating a social media campaign about it. A variety of topics (all of which were real-world examples of equilibrium) were given to us, and our group chose to learn about how chemical equilibrium affects the combustion in a rocket engine. The next thing was to choose a medium through which we could display our findings. While posters or instagram accounts would have been the easiest solutions, we decided to go with a youtube video in which we would explain equilibrium and rockets and demonstrate with our own prototype. This may have not been the easiest way to do this, it was the most engaging and gave us an excuse to play with rocket fuel for a grade.
The video we made and the slide show we used for it are below.

This was one of our more open- ended projects. Going in, none of us really knew what Vogl meant when she said 'social media campaign', much less how it related to equilibrium. To be honest, we really overthought it; all we had to do was use some sort of media to inform people of our application of equilibrium and how it relates to an important or interesting topic. This would have been nice to have figured out before we started trying to build rockets. Other than that, our group worked well together, with everyone contributing to a communal google document, which helped a lot, even though the project was supposed to be more individual.
